    SETTING TIME
Bonding time, i.e. the time after mixing with water at 20°C and water/binder ratio 1:2 is approximately 1.5 hours. Lower temperatures and more water prolong the setting time, while higher temperatures and less water shorten the setting time. At temperatures below +5°C, the setting reaction almost completely ceases.
    OPEN WORK TIME
Open time, i.e. the mortar applied on the substrate can be leveled and corrected depends on the surface absorptivity and thickness of the applied layer - it is about 15 min on average. In case of thin layer and very absorptive substrate this time may be reduced to 2-3 min. However in case of several millimeter thick layer applied on non-absorptive substrate the open work time is extended practically until the setting reaction starts
    DRYING TIME
Drying time of the set product depends on the layer thickness, ambient temperature and ventilation conditions. A 1 mm thick layer dries in 2-3 hours in ventilated rooms at +20°C. When the finish coat is a few millimeters thick and the ambient temperature is low, this time may be prolonged to a few days. In extreme cases with lack of ventilation and high humidity the finish coat does not dry at all
    STRENGTH
A gypsum finish coat achieves full strength and adhesion only after the setting process is properly completed and the mortar is completely dry. Before it dries, it may be soft and appear not fully set. As with all gypsum binders, mortar that is set but still wet has approximately 30% of the strength achieved when dry. Layer thickness The recommended thickness of gypsum finish coats ranges from 1 to 5 mm; however, depending on the needs, a much thicker layer can be applied at one time if the mortar's consistency allows it. When applying layers thinner than 1 mm, there is a risk of water evaporation before the setting reaction is completed and, consequently, the finish coat will not be suitable for painting or wallpapers. It does not shrink during setting and drying. 6.
    LAYER THICKNESS
Recommended thickness of gypsum finish coats ranges from 1 to 5 mm; however, depending on the needs, a much thicker layer can be applied at one time if the mortar consistency allows. When applying layers thinner than 1 mm, there is a risk of water evaporation before the setting reaction is completed and, consequently, the finish coat will not be suitable for painting or wallpapers.
