  • PURPOSE
smoothing of wall and ceiling surfaces
for filling in defects and cracks on plaster inside buildings
for joining G/K panels with reinforcing tape. The finishing coat creates a durable and snow-white ground for paint coats and wallpapers.
    PROPERTIES
    PERFECT WHITE
D-1 is white in color, both in wet mortar and finished smoothing coat.
    EASILY SANDABLE
Dried smooth D-1 is easy to grind by hand, while maintaining durability and strength during use
    BONDING TIME 1,5H
Mortar setting time, i.e. the period of mortar usability from the moment of its mixing with water is about 90 minutes (at the temperature +20°C and water to binder ratio 1:2). Setting time may be extended or shortened depending on temperature. Temperatures below +5°C will stop the setting reaction
    OPEN TIME
The average open time (the period during which the mortar applied can be patched and levelled) is about 15 minutes. It depends on absorbency of the substrate and thickness of the applied layer. In case of thin layer and absorptive substrate this time may decrease to 2-3 minutes. Poorly absorbent substrate with thicker coat applied may prolong the open time until the setting reaction starts
    DRYING TIME
drying time of the set mortar is 2-3 hours at a layer thickness of 1 mm and a temperature of +20°C. This time is variable and depends on the layer thickness, temperature and ventilation conditions. Low temperatures and a layer thickness of several millimetres extend the drying time even to several days. In case of lack of ventilation and high humidity, the smooth may not dry at all.
LAYER THICKNESS FROM 1 TO 7 MM
The proper thickness of the layer is from 1 to 7 mm. Caution: Do not apply layers thinner than 1 mm. Such layer may not gain load-bearing properties due to evaporation of water before the setting reaction is completed. Layer thickness has no upper limit, but above 7 mm, gypsum plaster is recommended.
